Introduction to Flatwater Kayaking

On
the safe waters of Lough Derg, Candidates will be introduced
to the basic techniques in Kayaking on flat water. This
course helps builds the individuals confidence while preparing
them for more advanced moving water challenges.

1, 8, 15 & 22 (4 Tuesday

June 12 & 13 (2-day weekend courses
run from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day)

Flat
to Whitewater Kayaking ulac
€190
per person per course
This course is designed to bridge the gap between flat and
whitewater kayaking. If you have previous experience and
would like to move onto more challenging moving water then
this is the course for you. The first day is spent on Lough
Derg, brushing up on flat water skills and rescues. Our
highly experienced instructors will also introduce participants
to the mystical skill of the Eskimo Roll. On day 2 participants
will put all acquired skills into practice as they are guided
down the rapids of the lower Shannon.

Once candidates have mastered paddling on flat water, they
now can take the challenge of developing essential skills
on our picturesque local rivers under the instruction and
guidance of our highly qualified staff.
